FAQ

How much space do I need to accommodate a bouncy castle?

This depends on the size of the inflatable you hire but as a general rule you should allow for an additional 4ft wider and 6ft longer than the size of the inflatable itself. If you intend to have the inflatable set up inside a hall you will need to ensure that the ceiling height is at least 2ft higher than the inflatable itself. The ground itself needs to be fairly level and free from any debris, sharp objects and pet poo!!  Please ensure that the access/side passage is clear.

How long does it take to set up the inflatable?

On average it takes 15 minutes to set up and make the safety checks.

How much will it cost to run?

It usually costs approximately €2.00 for the electricity per day.

What happens on the day?

We will discuss with you the best position for the inflatable then set it up and ensure that it is secure. You will be asked to make payment and sign a “Terms and Conditions of Hire” document – you will be provided with a copy of the document which also provides our contact telephone numbers should you experience any problems.

When do you deliver and collect the inflatable?

Normal delivery time is between 8am and 12 noon and collection between 6pm and 9pm.  Unfortunately we cannot guarantee an exact time but we will try to accommodate you.

How do I make payment?

We currently accept payment by cash or cheque payable upon delivery. Please make cheques payable to Blue Sky Events Ltd.

Is there a cancellation fee?

No cancellation fee is charged if the booking is cancelled prior to delivery.

What happens in poor weather conditions?

We keep regular checks on current weather conditions and if we feel that there is likely to be heavy rain or extreme wind on the day of your event, we will contact you before delivery to discuss with you.  In the event of heavy rain during use, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable be switched off.  Any wetness can be dried with a towel. A small picnic table, placed over the blower will help prevent rain water being sucked into it, and then into the inflatable.

What will happen if the inflatable becomes damaged/stolen whilst in possession?

Units will be inspected before we leave and any damage noted.  If damage occurs, units must be switched off and the hirer will be liable for any repair costs.  The hirer will also be liable for any theft and required to reimburse the value thereof.

Does Bouncy Fun have any insurance?

We hold public liability insurance which covers accidents caused by equipment failure or incorrect installation.  It does not cover for incorrect use.  Adult supervision is required at all times.  We will not be held personally responsible for any injuries.  We will provide you with “Terms and Conditions of Hire” which must be signed and returned prior to hire.  Additional personal liability cover can be arranged through your home insurance.
